Thank you so much for visiting my website. I’m excited to share more of my adventures with you.
My whole life has been a bit of an adventure. My dad was in the Army…so we traveled and moved around a lot! I was born in Panama and became a U.S. citizen when I was a teenager. I went to nine elementary schools growing up, including one in Wertheim, Germany.
My travels have continued even as an adult. I’ve worked at TV stations in Texas (Victoria, Abilene & now, Houston), Chicago, Indianapolis, Denver and Kansas City.
I earned my journalism degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder (Go, Buffs!) and my Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology at Mississippi State University.
Right now, I call Houston home. I’m the weekday morning meteorologist at the ABC affiliate. Recently, I’ve also been the guest meteorologist on the weekend edition of Good Morning America in NYC.
I love my job and spend much of my time encouraging young people to pursue a career in math or science. “You have to see it, to be it.” This quote is attributed to several people. Regardless of who said it first, I know it is true. That’s why I spend many days each year speaking to students about my career as a meteorologist.
My passion is animals and the environment. I am a doggie foster mom for Red Collar Rescue, a Houston animal rescue. So far, I’ve fostered seven dogs. I am so proud to have helped them find their fur-ever homes!
I don’t know what the future holds…but I’m sure it will be an adventure. Thanks for joining me on the ride!
